Cigarette
Her car reaks of cigarettes. Its not a bad thing anymore. Its comforting and I like to watch it glow as she lights up, especially at night. The smoke bothers me sometimes, but theres nothing to do. She is my best friend, and she believes it is classy and not trashy. She is killing herself, the smoke circling her head like a halo.

Fate
A peculiar word. You fell to the ground and discovered the fate of the flowers. All nestled into the soil. Water trickled, and worms squirmed. The flowers stood facing the sun with their heads held high. You scraped your chin and blood landed on a petal. Your fate is to rise back up, and live like the flower. Look up. Look up.

Teacher
Teach me how to laugh. Teach me how to cry. I've forgotten how. Teach me when to stop, teach me when to go. No one has ever been there to tell me what I've done wrong, teach me, please. Be my teacher, be my love. I have no brain, I've not even a thought. Teach me how to yell. Teach me how to scream. Teach me. Be my teacher, be my love.
Assume
I don't suppose you should assume what people are like. You look at them and see not the colors in their eyes but the clothes on their backs. She is dirty, she is poor. He is rich, he is snobby. Do not assume that the flecks of silver in their eyes do not collect in their own vision. You have not the ability to assume what it is like to be in their high heels or their socks.
